The Matador: Saved!
Thanks to the hard work of many people, the Toronto Parking Authority rescinded their motion to expropriate the Matador at their meeting on October 16.
The Save the Historic Matador Committee thanks the Toronto Parking Authority for having the courage to admit they had made a mistake, and then rectify it.
Preserving iconic buildings such as the Matador should not be this difficult, but this positive result gives us hope. Let us take this experience and work to improve our City and have our voices heard. Let us also use this time to dream about the possibilities that such an iconic building present. Let this be the beginning of a conversation that helps us take our city back.
